Description

Since 1983, we've been here on the Route de La Plagne, close to the centre of Morzine, and have been producing cheese, the heart of our work.
At the fruitiere, we transform the Lait de GAEC Le Chamois, from a herd of about 35 cows kept in a barn through the winter at Les Nants village and on the Plateau de Nyon in the summer, a herd which produces between 300 to 900 litres of milk daily, into our cheese and other milk products. Our 5 main cheeses are the Reblochon\*, the Abondance\*, the Tomme and Tomette de Morzine, the Raclette, and the Vieux Fromage de la pointe de Nyon, our own specialty, a cheese which is known for it distinctive strong flavour. We also produce from this milk a range of natural yogurts, vanilla or fresh fruit ones, caramel custards, and faisselle yogurt... \* Protected designation of origin cheese. The Alpage shop is located on site and offers direct sale of the products made on site, such as raw milk, or butter, as well as a wide range of cheese from our region and nearby regions, mainly all made by producing farmers. You'll also be able to buy saucisson, ham and special charcuterie products, all made locally. Finally, the shop also offers traditional regional products such as jams and fruit conserves, Savoie wines and liqueurs, honey, prepared meals, herbal teas, home-made chocolate, and much more!
