Les P'tits Flambeaux: the French mountains unite around a magical event of solidarity on Thursday, February 20, 2025
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, as night falls, the French mountains are mobilizing to bring you an exceptional event! During the same evening, all the French Ski Schools (ESF) are joining forces to organize simultaneous torchlight descents in French resorts, in partnership with the Association Nationale des Maires de Stations de Montagne and Domaines Skiables de France. The aim? To raise as much money as possible for solidarity programs enabling children who are not fortunate enough to be able to go on vacation to discover our magnificent mountains and their benefits. A magical event par excellence and a must on any winter mountain holiday, torchlit descents are a delight for young and old alike! To take part in the festivities while doing a good deed, the public is invited to buy torches, with all proceeds going to 3 associations: Enfance et Montagne, Génération Montagne and Petits Princes through the "Famille Plus, la montagne solidaire" operation. Let's light up our mountains for children on Thursday, February 15, 2024! The French mountain community rallies for 3 associations Enfance et Montagne The Syndicat National des Moniteurs du Ski Français (SNMSF) is behind the Enfance et Montagne endowment fund. The aim of this fund, which supports education and discovery classes in the mountains, is to support and revive the French tradition of classes de neige and classes vertes. The aim of the fund is to grant financial aid to schools wishing to carry out educational projects linked to the mountains, and thus provide children with multiple benefits such as the discovery of a new environment, learning to live independently and in a community, or taking part in sporting and cultural activities. Génération Montagne In April 2022, Domaines Skiables de France created the Génération Montagne dedicated fund, whose mission is to lead and finance targeted actions of general interest involving ski areas in the environmental, social and solidarity fields in the French mountain massifs. Opération Famille Plus, mountain solidarity in partnership with Petits Princes Founded in 1987, the Petits Princes association enables seriously ill children and teenagers to make their mountain dreams come true and find extra energy in their fight against illness. The association is supported throughout the year by Famille Plus resorts and ANMSM through the "Famille Plus, la montagne solidaire" operation.
