Slate clock workshop

After decades on the roof, Chablais slates are brought back to life in this workshop to become magnificent personalized clocks!

These 100%-customizable clocks take several steps to make: cutting, drilling and assembly. The children then decorate them with stamps and personalize them with their own image or that of the school or holiday logo. Duration of activity: 25 min for cutting + 25 min for decorating/assembling to create 10 to 15 clocks per hour (from age 12 onwards, independently - possible for younger children with help from on-site educational staff). Groups of 50-60 can be accommodated by combining hours. LEARNING INTEREST: discover slate-cutting with traditional tools, notions of safety, decoration, cleaning, following instructions, cooperation, creativity. Of course, participants leave with their own creations. This activity is only available on location.
